SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - MARCH 30, 2005 - Dipolar Pty Limited, developer of the class-leading "Professional Quest" suite of survey design, distribution and analysis products, today announced the release of Professional Quest 2005. The product will commence shipping from April 15, 2005.
Professional Quest 2005 represents the first major upgrade of the software under the company's new strategy of major annual releases. The company has made a commitment to provide its customers with these annual releases at the beginning of the 2nd quarter of each calendar year. "Our commitment to consistent annual releases, together with the new naming conventions for the releases, will provide our customers with more certainty with regards to future enhancements, and will allow major IT departments to plan ahead when considering the move to new versions" said Julian Cole, the project lead for Professional Quest.
With the previous release already boasting an impressive feature set, the approach taken with this release has been to simultaneously add features and significantly improve ease-of-use through a new interface.
The Professional Quest designer features a new "Live Preview", which allows full testing of Web-based surveys before building a survey project. This allows last-minute "tweaking" of the design, and also provides an opportunity to get input from stakeholders (such as managers or customers) prior to building a project. Other enhancements include automatic graphical progress bars, and improved survey content creation. Inclusion of a new "Text Block" content type, and streamlined content creation windows ensure that the content creation process is more intuitive than ever.
Major strides have been made in improving the market-research capabilities of the software. In particular, the new concept of "page loops" ensure large market research surveys that ask similar questions for different products can be created and altered quickly and efficiently.
The Professional Quest Project Manager has also received a major facelift. Reorganisation of the interface has simplified the management of survey projects, and key areas including respondent management, survey distribution, response analysis and the sending of Emails have all been substantially improved.
The new Question Analysis tab on the project window now provides immediate access to powerful analysis features including response filtering, and cross-tabulation of results. This analysis may be printed, exported to a spreadsheet, or included in a report prepared in a Word processor.
The new Workspace tab provides access to saved statistics, and previously printed reports. All reports may be refreshed to reflect the latest data in the project at a click of a button.
